LET’S GET WEIRD

Life lessons, painted on whatever would hold still.

CONCEPTUAL ART · CREATIVE DIRECTION · STORYTELLING · FILM

I have always made sense of life by making things.

And Let’s Get Weird is an ongoing video-essay series where personal questions become physical objects.

Each episode begins with an experience, thought or discomfort I cannot quite leave alone. I research it, write a story around it and eventually make it into something I can touch.

An organ became a story about discovering the symphony within. A bench explored apologising without abandoning yourself. A leather jacket taught me to welcome happy accidents. A mannequin helped me climb out of a creative rut. Even painting a motorcycle became a lesson in interpretation and making your tools work for you.

I write, direct, edit, and appear in the series, combining a copy-based Creative Director’s structure with an artist’s instinct to keep following the strange idea.

Every episode follows the entire process: the original idea, the sketches, the making, the mistakes, and the countless imperfections that have to be negotiated along the way.

At its heart, the series presents art as something that lives in all of us. Not a mysterious gift reserved for a chosen few.

Sometimes creativity is simply paying attention to what life is trying to teach you, then painting it on the nearest available object.
